Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. Announces Agreement to Provide “A” Rated Policy Issuance Solution

Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. (NYSE:MIG) has entered into an agreement which will provide the Company the use of an “A” rated policy issuance company for a portion of its business. The agreement, which is effective immediately, is with State National Insurance Company and follows A.M. Best’s Friday decision to downgrade Meadowbrook’s financial strength rating to “B++” (good, with a stable outlook.)

Livestock Marketing Association and members donate to West, TX

In response to the West, Texas, fertilizer plant explosion, the West Auction, Inc., the Livestock Marketing Association (LMA) and the Livestock Marketing Association of Texas (LMAT) established the Cattleman’s Relief Fund. To date, $129,500 dollars has been raised, and a check in that amount was presented to the West EMS on July 22 at State National Bank in West, TX.

Dustin Focht, this year’s World Livestock Auctioneer Champion, will be at Northern Livestock Video Auction (2443 N. Frontage Road, Billings, Mont., 59107) on Monday, July 22, starting at 8 a.m. (MT) and Tues., July 23, starting at 8 a.m. (MT). Focht will be on the auction block, selling livestock and showing off the chant that made him a world champion auctioneer.

Fowler, Sedalia, Mo., was presented with the Livestock Marketing Association’s (LMA) Industry Icon Award last month during the 2013 World Livestock Auctioneer Championship and Convention in Montgomery, Ala. Fowler joins Pat Goggins as the sole Industry Icon award recipients since the inception of LMA 50 years ago.
